Five tacos on the menu, and the birria's the one for us. Crispy-shelled with cheese melting through, dunked in a cup of consommé. A Mexican living in Da Nang says the tacos here are the best he's found in town.
Vincent (Viet-Am) owns the place and cooks every plate himself. His grill is right on the street, so you watch him work while you order. Take a stool at the counter or a seat outside and wash it down with an ice cold beer. Try a game of pool after and you'll make new friends.
There's five proteins on the menu: grilled steak, pork, chicken, carnitas, and birria. For the birria, Vincent slow-cooks the beef until it shreds. The consommé that comes with it is the broth the beef cooked in. It's so good you don't need ketchup or mayo.
